Fascinated by entertainment and loving worship from a very young age, Tim Bishop Brown learned to play piano by ear in 1976. He cherished being of service to the Christian community through music and began playing for churches throughout the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County at just 11 years old, thus launching his formal music career.  His adoration for all forms of entertainment, love for all people, appreciation for all genres of music and desire to perfect his gifts, however, brought him full circle as an established artist, serving the world as writer, musician, vocalist, actor and motivational speaker. Affectionately known as Bishop, Brown's sole desire is to spread love, peace, joy and comfort and he enthusiastically refers to his music as "Message Music."

Bishop's mission to spread love, peace and joy was put to the test in 1990 as he was hit with a devastating tragedy that drastically changed his life forever. Brutally victimized, stabbed repeatedly and left for dead one night, Bishop cried out to God and held onto every ounce of hope he had. He emerged from the ordeal with a punctured lung and permanently damaged leg but his life was spared, further solidifying his calling to spread the message of love through music and entertainment arts.

Bishop has been graced to work with some of the great artists of our time: Natalie Cole, Jennifer Holiday, Tevin Campbell, Phillip Bailey, The Williams Brothers, Rev. James Cleveland, Rev. Daryl Coley, Beverly Crawford, The Clark Sisters, James Hall & WAP, Donald Lawrence, Hezekiah Walker, Shirley Caesar, Canton Spirituals, Snoop Dogg, The Hawkins Family, Donnie McClurklin, Keith Pringle & PCC, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, Richard Smallwood, Dr. Ricky Dillard, Aundrae Crouch and the list goes on.  As an established writer/composer, he was humbled and grateful when his hit song “He’s Done Enough” went to #3 on the Gospel Billboard Charts. His writing runs the gamut from “traditional gospel” to “contemporary gospel” to “crossover” to “romantic music” to “house music” and beyond.

Coming full circle as a servant-artist committed to delivering the MESSAGE, Bishop is celebrating the new release of his first solo single, “Be Strong” and it is a complete change in sound, music and instrumentation.

The title of the forthcoming cd is “THE EVOLUTION OF TIM BISHOP BROWN”. Incorporated in his Message Music, are his favorite scriptures which have kept him grounded and purposeful, Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" and Proverbs 18:16 "A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.”
